 Press Releases

  • ADA, MI – GTF Technologies is pleased to announce they will be exhibiting at booth #2275 at Supply Side West 2022. The mission of GTF is to deploy its revolutionary RENU™ Drying and Milling Systems in their customers' facilities to reduce waste, improve the planet, and nourish people, all while boosting their bottom lines.

The proprietary RENU System concurrently dries and micronizes food and other plant-based materials, transforming them into nutrient-dense, valuable powders in seconds. These powders can then be used in products such as supplements and nutraceuticals, upcycled foods, beverages, and pet foods. The compact footprint of the RENU System enables it to be placed directly within food processing facilites to rescue excess, imperfect, and side-streamed food from landfills, stabilizing it immediately before transporting the resulting lightweight powder for upcycling. In addition, the RENU System is an excellent alternative to other drying methods because of its size, energy efficiency, and excellent nutrient retention.

“We believe this groundbreaking technology will be extremely disruptive in the food processing, brewers spent grain, and hemp/bioplastics markets,” said Jim Weaver, CEO of GTF Technologies. “There is a greater sense of urgency to reduce our collective carbon footprint. Now that federal and state governments are enacting legislation on food waste, and consumer demand for upcycled foods is increasing, the time is right.”

“Some of the best nutrients in fruits and vegetables are found in their peels, pits, seeds and pulp, which is what gets thrown out when they’re juiced... And adds to the production of methane and other greenhouse gases when they’re landfilled. Those nutrients can be captured and upcycled with our technology,” claims Gary Schuler, President and Founder of GTF.
